EPC srl Participates in the Final Event of the Cities2030 Project in Marseille

This week, EPC srl is in Marseille, France, for the final event of the Cities2030 project, organized by La Cité de l’agriculture. The event, titled “Agri-food justice and policy innovation, levers for transforming City Region Food Systems,” is dedicated to presenting the results achieved over the past years to promote best practices in urban food systems (CRFS).

Day 1:

The first day featured a public event focused on presenting the local activities promoted by Cities2030 and the collaborations that have led to positive results in agri-food justice within CRFS. In the afternoon, EPC coordinated the General Assembly, where the project’s progress was reviewed in preparation for the final report.

Day 2:

The second day included a public deep-dive event with parallel sessions for discussions and exchanges between partners. This was an excellent opportunity for networking and dialogue on the transition towards more sustainable CRFS.

Day 3:

On the third day, the team visited the Butterfly Urban Park, a green area within the Marseille metropolitan area dedicated to biodiversity conservation. This park, which has been planting butterfly-friendly plant species for over ten years, organizes workshops and public awareness activities. Thanks to the data collected, the park model will be replicated in other urban parks across France. La Cité de l’Agriculture, through the Cities2030 initiative, facilitated dialogue among various stakeholders and institutions to ensure the continued success of the project.
