From 1 to 3 April 2025, the Debrecen City Public Transport Company (DKV), Hungary, will host the second study visit of the ENCLOD – Enhancing governance Capacities of Local authorities using Open Data , funded under the European Interreg EC programme.
The meeting represents an important opportunity for exchange and learning among the project partners, with the aim of exploring local good practices in the field of Open Data for territorial governance. During the visit, participants will have the opportunity to learn about the solutions adopted by the city of Debrecen also in the context of other national and European initiatives for the use of Open Data and IoT such as the presentation of strategies for sustainable urban growth or the experience of the LIFE HungAIRy project on the use of Open Data and IoT for environmental monitoring.
As we prepare for this new stage, we would like to share a significant moment from the previous study visit , which took place last autumn in Žilina , Slovakia. In the following video, David Barta from City One , the project’s technical partner, presents a short demonstration of the installation of low-cost sensors for collecting Open Data for optimising traffic flows , improving air quality and enhancing road safety in the city of Žilina .
