On 2 and 3 April 2025, the Institute of Oceanography and Fisheries hosted in Split two working days within the ALIENA – ALIgning Efforts to control Non-indigenous species in the Adriatic sea project, involving local partners and stakeholders.
The meeting included the partnership meeting, coordinated by EPC, which guided the planning of the next project activities. Two intense and fruitful days, dedicated to the joint update on the project progress, the exchange of ideas and the completion of the ongoing tasks. The partners enthusiastically welcomed the organization and the collaborative climate of the event.
During the days, the public event “Non-indigenous species in the Adriatic Sea – past, present and future” also took place, which saw the participation of numerous Croatian stakeholders, including the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Green Transition, the University of Split and the Port Authority.
Participants also had the opportunity to visit the pilot area and the research center of the Institute of Oceanography and Fisheries, located in the beautiful setting of the Marjan Park, a significant moment to deepen in the field the key themes of the project.
